Have you filed your 2021 taxes? Double check! The IRS is sending out special payments to about 1 million taxpayers who missed out on a pandemic-related tax credit. This could mean an extra $1,400 in your pocket.
This payment is related to the Recovery Rebate Credit, which was part of the COVID-19 stimulus packages. If you were eligible for a stimulus payment but didn’t claim the credit on your 2021 return, you might be in for a nice surprise.

●Payments will be sent by direct deposit or check by late January.
